New media designer/writer. My name, Shaahin (pronounce it Shauheen) in Persian means Royal or Falcon.

I started my job (Actually my main interest), using a PC 286/12Mhz, created my first 2D animation using "Autodesk Animator 1.0" in 1991. I was also a huge Mac OS 8 emulation fan, always running old Macintosh games on my PC. I still use PC for some games and cross platform tests but right now I am a Mac user, using Mac OS X as the primary workstation for the projects.

Designest is created by myself, I made it up using the "Design" and "Nest" words, though it may sound like a Latin word too.

About the Logo

The Guardian Soul or Fravahar, (Frawahr); is an ancient symbol of Zoroastrians. It was the symbol of Persia for hundreds of years, also the symbol of our religion before the invasion of Islam. This logo is curved on stone in several places, in the south-center of Iran.

I made this logo using Adobe Illustrator, and then added shadow and emboss Adobe Photoshop effects to the first layer, and finally placed another outline layer on the base.
