Safari 1.2 - Persian Bug
Ali is reporting a bug regarding the Persian texts with Safari 1.2 - words are integrated to separate letters - and I have the same problem while browsing some Persian unicode pages. It seems that Apple is changing the Unicode text rendering engine, or maybe the problem is somewhere else. Any ideas?

There is also an alignment problem. Some texts which are supposed to show up right-aligned, are simple left aligned.
We should submit as many bug reports as possible, to Apple.
It also seems that the only font that shows up properly is Times New Roman! Does that give anyone a clue?
I sent bug reports to Apple, waiting for the next release! Though this problem is not for all the Persian pages.
Almost all Persian pages that don't use the Times font show up with problems in my Browser
Seems that Safari 1.2 has more bugs than we thought: According to Apple, there is also a rendering bug related to CSS: if a replaced element (i.e., an image) is too wide for its container, Safari 1.2 will become confused about margins occurring lower on the page.
Apple’s Safari team announced that they have fixed the bug. Now that’s fast work. Panther users, look for an updated version of Safari soon. I hope they adress the Persian problem in their update too.
Thanks Ali, I am waiting for the update!
