Sending SMS with PowerBook G4

Simply turn on the BlueTooth adapter on both devices (Mobile phone and your PowerBook or iBook). Run "Address Book" and choose a contact. Select number and Send your SMS! This is definitely the easiest way to send SMS with a PowerBook.

The best part is having my address book contacts everywhere. I have them on my mobile phone, stored in my PowerBook's "Address Book" and also in "iCal" and Mail. So I simply just add contacts to my Mobile phone, Synchronize contacts using iSync and then I have access anywhere.

BlueTooth browser is also very useful, so I placed my website's logo over this Siemens S55 mobile phone's screen - which is believed to be my own mobile phone - using the BlueTooth adapter.

Anyways, If you are interested to use my Website's logo for your Mobile's background, simply download the converted Logo here and upload it to your BlueTooth equipped mobile phone, of course using your PowerBook's BlueTooth Adapter!

Wise OS

Unlike Windows, Mac OS X recognizes Iran as a Persian region. You can set your language to Persian and not "Farsi" which is wrong and is being used by Microsoft. I am really glad to see my country in the Persian region, in the international customization panel, not deleted from the countries list! Apple used the word "Persian" since a long ago, while Bill Gates still uses "Farsi".

Ali Khalkhali

A clay model of a monkey made by one of my best friends, Ali Khalkhali. Based on the Chinese astrology, this year is named year of monkey, so he placed the new Persian year's number (83) on the monkey's stomach. This guy is a huge fan of BMW cars and their models. The BMW car under the monkey is one of his coolest models. This shot shows a bigger pic of the model, and this shot shows inside of his model car, not a real BMW! Cool, eh? I'll try to post more photos of his clay models, in the future.

Erich Hartman?

This guy is one the best Pilots of World War II. No, he is not Erich Hartman, but knows how to destroy any moving object on the map with his Me-109, Stuka, Mustang P-51- and even B17, the flying fortress. Armin Alam is one of the best members of our Batlefield 1942 team, a brave pilot, and sometimes as a tank hunter in the fearful lands of the Stalingrad. We play this game - I mean Battlefield 42- almost every week in a game center nearby.

Battlefield 1942 is really great for Multiplayer games, too bad there is no version yet for the Macintosh!

New Persian Year 1383

Happy new Persian year! This photo shows the "Haft Seen Table" (7 items starting with S) which is now available in every Iranian's house, only for Norouz. Iranians keep this table for two weeks (13 days actually) and in the last day everyone goes to "13-Bedar" which is a family camping day. Most of people read Shaahnameh (Kings Epic) or "Divan e Hafez" (Poems by Hafez) in the first day of Norouz, while the new year is coming, and then go to visit other members of the family.

Happy Norouz to you, wishing you a joyful and blessing year, full of success and happiness, Happy New year!

The Last Wednesday

Every year, Iranians celebrate the last Wednesday of the year, all over the world. This celebration is called "Char Shanbe Soori" and is believed to be a modern celebration. Why modern? Because after the invasion of Persia by Arabians, people changed many of their traditional celebrations to fight against their enemies. They celebrate the last Wednesday because it is the worst day of the week for Arabians. Also Zoroastrians believe that "Fire" is a holy symbol of God and it is not good to jump over it, while people do it for seven times.

These days this celebration is more like the western "New Year's Eve" and people use fireworks and make loud noises. See more photos here, here and here.
